Child Safety Standards

WeddingWire is a wedding-planning platform for couples, planners, and their invited guests, available on the web and through our iOS and Android apps. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), as required by Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.

1. Zero tolerance

We have a zero-tolerance policy toward CSAE and CSAM. Any content, message, profile, or activity that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or abuses a minor is strictly prohibited on WeddingWire, whether it appears in guest photo galleries, shared memories, messages, wedding websites, or any other part of the service.

2. Our commitments

  • We prohibit CSAE and CSAM in our Terms of Service and acceptable-use rules.
  • We comply with applicable child safety laws in Sri Lanka and in the jurisdictions where our users are located.
  • We provide an in-app and on-web mechanism for any user or guest to report content or behaviour that may harm a child.
  • We review every child safety report we receive and act promptly — removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and preserving evidence.
  • We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or to Sri Lanka Police and relevant local authorities, and cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
  • WeddingWire is intended for adults (18+) planning a wedding; it is not directed at children.

3. How to report a child safety concern

If you see content or behaviour on WeddingWire that may exploit or endanger a child:

  • Use the Report option available on photos, messages, and shared content in the app and on guest pages; or
  • Email our child safety team at [email protected] with a link or description of the content.

Reports are treated as urgent and confidential. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

6. Changes

We may update these standards from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do.
