Refund Policy

Effective 20 August 2026

This policy covers two kinds of payments made through WeddingWire: your plan subscription, and cash gifts your guests send you.

1. Plan subscriptions (Premium & Planner)

If a paid plan isn't right for you, contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. After 7 days, refunds are considered case by case — for example if the service was unavailable to you for an extended period through our fault. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and order date.

2. Cash gifts sent by guests

Cash gifts are payments from a guest to the couple, which WeddingWire records but does not hold long-term — see our Terms of Service for how disbursement works. Because of that:

• Before disbursement — if a guest sent the wrong amount, a duplicate gift, or paid by mistake, contact us as soon as possible. We can usually reverse the payment through the original payment method while the funds are still with us.
• After disbursement — once a gift has been marked as disbursed to the couple, WeddingWire can no longer reverse it, since the funds have already been transferred out of the platform. Any refund at that point is a matter between the guest and the couple directly.
• Guests should direct refund requests to the couple first where the gift has already reached them; couples can reach out to us for help facilitating a correction while funds are still on the platform.

3. Failed or duplicate charges

If you were charged more than once for the same subscription or the same gift due to a technical error, we'll refund the duplicate charge in full once confirmed with our payment processor.

4. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via the same processor used for the charge (PayHere, Cybersource, or KOKO Pay) and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
